A short story, hopefully it benefits those who read this :)
This morning, Miss T went to clerk a patient. The patient's mum was really nice and polite. After a long chat, Miss T asked the daughter, what do you want to become when you grow up later? She didn't answer. Instead, her mum answered, "I don't mind what she wants to be in future, I believe God will provide us and His arrangement is the best." I was stunned for a second, and smiled asking if they are Christian family. Her mum said yes. Her mum asked Miss T as well. Also, her mum add in her conversation, telling Miss T,
"When you graduate later, you will become a pediatrician is it?"
"No, after housemanship, I will become a medical officer. I need to further my studies and practices in order for me to become a specialist."
"You will become a very good doctor in future."
Miss T replied, "erm... there is lots of things I still need to learn."
"You must become a pediatrician!" The mother add in.
"Erm...hopefully, hopefully I can go through my degree first. By God's willing."
THE END.
Actually it's just a short story that I found it is good to share. I find out that the positive force or encouragement words are very important to motivate a medical student to continue their journey. However, there are always pros and cons. Cons for the praises are crystal clear. It can put a person high up in the sky and brag about him or herself. So in conclusion, either the praises are good or bad, it depends on how one perceives about it. We can choose :) Most people works for praises, but as for me, it is a waste of time to be a servant of others praises. Do everything that will find favor in God's eyes :) Shalom..
